Vinlandic Systems is a Canadian robotics company building machines for the places where work actually happens — industrial floors, northern forests, care homes, city streets, and everywhere in between. We engineer platforms that earn their place by doing work that matters, wherever the frontier leads.
Our name comes from Vinland — the Norse name for the North American coast, the farthest reach of Viking exploration. Like those first explorers, we build machines that go beyond the map. From heavy-duty platforms that operate in Arctic cold and industrial hazard zones to companion humanoids that bring warmth and capability into homes and care settings, the same engineering standard runs through everything we make.

Humanoid platforms purpose-built for human environments — homes, care settings, hospitality, and daily life. Warm presence, natural interaction, and real capability where people live and work. Featuring biomimetic systems like the DroidUp Moya.
Autonomous platforms for retail, logistics, and service environments. Inventory, delivery, inspection — machines that handle the repetitive work so people don't have to.
Mining, construction, manufacturing. Rugged machines that operate in hazardous zones — gas detection, confined spaces, extreme temperatures. Where the work is too dangerous for people.
Forestry, agriculture, Arctic operations, search and rescue. Machines built for Canadian winters, mountain terrain, and everything the North Atlantic throws at them. When the weather turns, Vinlandic keeps working.

Leading global robotics manufacturers provide next-generation humanoid platforms — dual-arm gantry systems, four-armed mobile humanoids, full-size bipeds, and biomimetic companion robots. These platforms form the mechanical foundation for Vinlandic product lines across industrial, field, and human-facing applications. Joint development and Canadian distribution in progress.
DroidUp (Shanghai) builds Moya, the world's first fully biomimetic humanoid — warm silicone skin, 25 facial degrees of freedom, 92% human-like gait, and embodied AI for perception and interaction. Vinlandic is in talks to bring Moya and future DroidUp platforms to the Canadian market across healthcare, eldercare, hospitality, and research.

A decade of humanoid robotics — from Hong Kong to Canada.
Vinlandic Systems isn't starting from zero. Our founder has been working with humanoid robots since 2013 — supporting Chinese trade shows, integrating partner hardware, and learning what actually works in the field. This is the foundation we're building on.
Sheldon Hunt began supporting humanoid robot demonstrations at major Chinese trade shows. Working with the Hans and Sophia android platforms — some of the most advanced expressive humanoid robots of the era — he helped run live demos, integrate speech and vision systems, and present the technology to international audiences.
Three years on the Chinese robotics trade show circuit — Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong. Hands-on work with early humanoid platforms, android torsos, and expressive AI heads. Learning what breaks when you put robots in front of crowds, what works in demos, and what doesn't translate to the real world.
Working with leading global robotics manufacturers on next-generation humanoid platforms — dual-arm gantry systems, four-armed mobile humanoids, full-size bipeds, and biomimetic companion robots. Evaluating hardware for Canadian distribution, joint product development, and market integration across industrial, field, and human-facing applications.

Sheldon Hunt is an experienced founder and technologist with over a decade of experience working with government, Canadian corporates, and innovative tech companies. His career spans foreign policy, international trade, emerging technology, and robotics — work that has taken him across Asia and North America, from early humanoid robotics to large-scale commercial partnerships. Vinlandic Systems brings that experience together: a Canadian robotics company built for the real world.
